We love this kid:)

It has been a whirlwind of a week and here we are and Wyatt is a week old?! What in the world? We are having fun during the days and the nights have been not absolutely terrible. It could be better or it could be a lot worse, but what I want to know is when do babies sleep for 8 hours uninterrupted? Or really when can I?
Matt and I are those parents that say "Did you see that?!" when he moves his pinky toe or "Oh my gosh, he just yawned!" We delight in the absolute smallest things Wyatt does. He definitely has captured our hearts and will forever have them!
Christmas was a blur of running around and we sadly missed time on Saturday with my extended family due to complete and total exhaustion of the holiday(and lack of sleep). We did enjoy spending time with both our families this week. It was definitely a Christmas we will not forget.

The Little Man

Ok, so I have debated on really whether or not to post these. One, because I am huge, how come no one knocked the food out of my hand and said "Jenny, stop eating" and two...the pictures do not do the boy justice. He is so beautiful and not so photogenic, hopefully we will get a good pic soon. But Matt, look at the man, he is absolutely smitten. Just so filled with fatherhood joy! Goodness, I love my boys:)!! Thanks for all your posts! We are so blessed to have wonderful friends and family in our lives.

Welcome Wyatt Allen Mitchell!

We are so in love! After a night of flipping, multiple epidurals, bed pans, heart rate peaks/valleys, three different nurses, a near c-section, and a half hour of pushing we got to welcome Wyatt Allen Mitchell at 7:35 this morning. I can't believe the instant joy I experienced the moment Wyatt was laid on my chest or everytime I see Matt holding, talking, or just looking at our new baby. He is a great father all ready.  It is amazing.
Wyatt weighed 7 lbs and 3 ozs. He is 20 inches long. The moment he came out, we didn't hear a single peep from him, he has been pretty content since...I think he is saving up for tomorrow!:)
I can't believe that we are mom and dad. I will definitely post pictures when we get out of the hospital. We left our cord at home! We think Wyatt is pretty darn perfect and just beautiful!:) LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!
Thanks for your prayers, we appreciated them more than you will ever know!

Drama Dog!

Oh Maggie. So Matt was playing with Maggie's ears on Monday night and found a pocket of fluid in her ears. My mom took her into the vet yesterday while we were at work and they drained her ear and now her ear neeeds to be taped back until Friday. The poor thing. Anyways, we figured that Maggie was trying to get the attention back on her before the baby came...way to wait until the last minute Maggie.

The Babes Room

The room is just about ready for the babes- if only we were!!:) Bit by bit we are getting more and more ready, but goodness gracious our world is going to change! Maybe in a week! AH! Here are a few pics of the little guy's pad. Notice the four legged grey baby who is about to get booted from the baby box...poor sweet thing! Maggie has no idea what is about to rock her world....if only Matt and I knew what was going to rock ours! love you guys. pray for us:).

Ha...yes I stink at this.

Allright, since it has been three months since I have blogged, I thought it was about time:) So in the past three months, we have moved in to our humble abode, we have tried to grow grass, I got a half day kindergarten job, Matt has picked up swimming along with running and biking, I have grown larger than life itself, and I am sure a few other things...but right now that is all this little brain can think of.
We are getting excited for this little life inside of me. Scared, but excited. I am tired of wearing the same thing everyday and being so huge, but hopefully it will all be worth it. So then we can get no sleep and spend even less time together, but it will be worth it...right???:) He has been moving like crazy, hiccuping conveniently every night when I go to bed, and is spoiled rotten allready by friends and family. It is amazing how much "stuff" a little guy needs.  The name still remains a mystery, not because we don't want to tell people, but because we don't know. We are leaning towards Wyatt. thanks for checking our blog! We love you all.

Two more tri pics:)

They wouldn't permit me to post anymore pictures on the other post, so I added these two to another:) Our blog is probably the messiest blog ever.

Tri Boys

The past two weekends we have had a blast watching our brothers swim/bike/run triatholons! We are so proud of how hard they worked and how well they did. Matt and I would love to do one, but we need a year to learn how to swim. So maybe next year. Way to go Josh and Rob!!:)

My oh My...

Ok, here I am. Lumpy, Bumpy Me. Twenty two weeks along and getting bigger by the minute. I don't want to even imagine how big I will be by December. Pregnancy is such a wierd thing:).

Baby Mitchell!

We finally got ultrasound pictures! It was so fun to be able to see the little guy again! I can't believe all that they are able to tell you and assure you with looking at the baby this early. My mom went with me to the ultrasound and it was so neat to have her there with me. Matt couldn't go because of work, but it was so great to show him the pictures. I hope he can go to the next one. My brother, Barry, pointed out that he may have the Strachan nose, now that is a great fear of Matt's! For good reason, have you seen our noses?? I I guess we really are having a baby...there is no turning back now!!:) It really is happening!

Moving Along...

We got a driveway! Our house is really making progress. We are getting more and more excited for it. I have been trying to behave and not go shopping for items to decorate, but it is so tempting! The unfortunate thing is with no job, there is no money, and no money, there is no shopping:( Bummer!! I guess there are other needs before the little knick nacks, like a refrigerator, washer, and dryer!

Officially and Totally a DOCTOR!

Ok and one more picture....check out these doctors! This is Matt and his partner, Paul,  both doing anistesiology (I need to learn how to spell that word). Paul's wife, Kim invited me to dinner at the hospital on Saturday and we got to see our men in action. Matt really thinks a lot of Paul and is excited to work with him in the next four years!

I stink at this...

Sooooo, I am not very good at this. It has been almost a month and I have not posted anything. So for all of you who I promised a blog to, I am going to do better....for real this time. For those of you have been so sweet and asking for bump pictures.... you will have to wait- I am so not ready to take tummy pictures, not sure if I ever will be! It is so wierd to see my body change. I do have my 20 week appointment on the 29th, so hopefully I can, maybe, fingers crossed, post some ultrasound photos?? Who knows, but for now, here is a picture of  our land back in April and check out what it looks like now!

Good Morning! I was encouraged to do this blog thing and am not sure if I am figuring it out, so bear with me!!
Soooooo, we are in Ohio!  It was a fast and sad move from Virginia. I feel we didn't even get to say good bye to the people who meant so much to us the way we wanted to, it was very rushed and some of our dear friends we didn't even get to say good bye to. We had to get out of our VA house in a certain amount of time and back to Ohio so Matt could begin his residency. But we are here, staying at Matt's parents' house in Hudson. We are so thankful for them opening their doors to us! And for not charging us rent- phew!!
Our house is going up like crazy, the lumber was delivered a week ago and they all ready have the walls and roof up! WHAT?!?! We didn't think they would be done by August 4th, but goodness gracious- they will be! It is a small house, but the perfect size for Matt, Maggie, me and Julio. Yes Julio- we cannot figure out a name for our baby to be, so for now his name is Julio. The scary thing is that the name Julio is growing on us and if we can't figure out a boy's name, he just might be Julio!!! :)
