We love this kid:)

It has been a whirlwind of a week and here we are and Wyatt is a week old?! What in the world? We are having fun during the days and the nights have been not absolutely terrible. It could be better or it could be a lot worse, but what I want to know is when do babies sleep for 8 hours uninterrupted? Or really when can I?
Matt and I are those parents that say "Did you see that?!" when he moves his pinky toe or "Oh my gosh, he just yawned!" We delight in the absolute smallest things Wyatt does. He definitely has captured our hearts and will forever have them!
Christmas was a blur of running around and we sadly missed time on Saturday with my extended family due to complete and total exhaustion of the holiday(and lack of sleep). We did enjoy spending time with both our families this week. It was definitely a Christmas we will not forget.

The Little Man

Ok, so I have debated on really whether or not to post these. One, because I am huge, how come no one knocked the food out of my hand and said "Jenny, stop eating" and two...the pictures do not do the boy justice. He is so beautiful and not so photogenic, hopefully we will get a good pic soon. But Matt, look at the man, he is absolutely smitten. Just so filled with fatherhood joy! Goodness, I love my boys:)!! Thanks for all your posts! We are so blessed to have wonderful friends and family in our lives.

Welcome Wyatt Allen Mitchell!

We are so in love! After a night of flipping, multiple epidurals, bed pans, heart rate peaks/valleys, three different nurses, a near c-section, and a half hour of pushing we got to welcome Wyatt Allen Mitchell at 7:35 this morning. I can't believe the instant joy I experienced the moment Wyatt was laid on my chest or everytime I see Matt holding, talking, or just looking at our new baby. He is a great father all ready.  It is amazing.
Wyatt weighed 7 lbs and 3 ozs. He is 20 inches long. The moment he came out, we didn't hear a single peep from him, he has been pretty content since...I think he is saving up for tomorrow!:)
I can't believe that we are mom and dad. I will definitely post pictures when we get out of the hospital. We left our cord at home! We think Wyatt is pretty darn perfect and just beautiful!:) LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!
Thanks for your prayers, we appreciated them more than you will ever know!

Drama Dog!

Oh Maggie. So Matt was playing with Maggie's ears on Monday night and found a pocket of fluid in her ears. My mom took her into the vet yesterday while we were at work and they drained her ear and now her ear neeeds to be taped back until Friday. The poor thing. Anyways, we figured that Maggie was trying to get the attention back on her before the baby came...way to wait until the last minute Maggie.

The Babes Room

The room is just about ready for the babes- if only we were!!:) Bit by bit we are getting more and more ready, but goodness gracious our world is going to change! Maybe in a week! AH! Here are a few pics of the little guy's pad. Notice the four legged grey baby who is about to get booted from the baby box...poor sweet thing! Maggie has no idea what is about to rock her world....if only Matt and I knew what was going to rock ours! love you guys. pray for us:).

Ha...yes I stink at this.

Allright, since it has been three months since I have blogged, I thought it was about time:) So in the past three months, we have moved in to our humble abode, we have tried to grow grass, I got a half day kindergarten job, Matt has picked up swimming along with running and biking, I have grown larger than life itself, and I am sure a few other things...but right now that is all this little brain can think of.
We are getting excited for this little life inside of me. Scared, but excited. I am tired of wearing the same thing everyday and being so huge, but hopefully it will all be worth it. So then we can get no sleep and spend even less time together, but it will be worth it...right???:) He has been moving like crazy, hiccuping conveniently every night when I go to bed, and is spoiled rotten allready by friends and family. It is amazing how much "stuff" a little guy needs.  The name still remains a mystery, not because we don't want to tell people, but because we don't know. We are leaning towards Wyatt. thanks for checking our blog! We love you all.
