VEGAS baby!!:)

Matt and I went to visit our friends, Darrick and Krista in Vegas. We both had never been so we were very excited to see friends and the city. The only sad part was leaving Wyguy behind. I used two personal days and Matt used vacation time, so we were going to be away from Wyatt for 4 nights and five days. Thank goodness for wonderful grandparents who sent pictures and made the time away a little easier. It was nice to not have to worry about eating or napping or bed times, etc, but boy, did we miss our boy.We had an awesome time with Darrick and Krista. We saw the city lights, went to see the Cirque show "Ka" , spent a little money on a couple machines which was fun but didn't last long, we saw the Hoover Dam, did a little shopping, but best of all we just spent time with their family. We love their little girls and we missed seeing our friends, so it was a nice trip to say the least. We hope to get back out there soon! With Wyatt:) Thanks Neibaurs for a great time.

And of course I had to stick one in of Wyatt:)

Now a BIG BOY?!

The little guy is getting too big...too fast! I am loving Wyguy as much as ever. Wyatt has learned to roll over, drag his body all over the room, and has cut two teeth! He cut his first tooth when we were in Columbus having a girls (plus Wy) weekend. I cried when I felt it. It makes
me so sad that he is growing up so fast. I thought I was not going to enjoy this "baby stage" but it brings tears to my eyes how fast it is going by. I always wished there was a puppy potion to give puppies so they would stay little forever now I need a potion to keep Wyatt little forever! We have had an awesome summer. I will do my best to post some pictures...my apologies if this blog entry is long!!:)Here we go...

Wy got his first "big boy" toy! He loves riding in it and bops his entire body when we stop pushing, as if to say "Hello...I am not done." He looks so ridiculously cute in it!
My favorite part of the day is putting Wyatt to bed. It is the only time he truly snuggles without crawling up me anymore. He finishes his last sip of his bottle and turns into me and holds me. Oh the best feeling. I never want to forget how he feels in my arms.
Wyatt got another big boy toy! A outside swing. He just laughs and laughs. Of course it is attached to an apple tree so we are a big worried about his safety with the falling apples. Uncle Bob decided to give the kid a helmet to protect him. Always thinking...
Wyatt outgrew his infant carrier and now is in a big boy carseat! (Can you tell how much I am struggling with him being a big boy? Every thing I write is about being a big boy. Or maybe I am so proud that I have kept this amazing being alive for 8 months.)
Wyatt is still completely in love with his daddy. Everything Matt does Wyatt thinks is the greatest. No one can get the kid to laugh like Matt does. I am a bit jealous.
Ok now for the crawling... Goodbye Wyatt the blob, Hello rug burned knees, electric cords, outlets, small lint pieces in the carpet, corners, and anything else that wasn't dangerous or a threat a couple months ago. Just him out in action....
These are not the greatest pics of the dude, but they just show a glimpse of how our little guy has grown. Everyday I thank the Lord for giving us this amazing gift. Ah God is so good!

Wyatt Rolling Over

Matt told me last night I stink at our blog...so I am going to try better to be a better blogger:) Starting with a video of the dude rolling over. Matt has been working intense hours, long hours during the day, followed by being on call which basically means he has been working most nights too. IT STINKS. Anyways, he hasn't seen Wy roll over because he has been working TOO much, so here is a tribute to the rolling man. I can't keep him on his back anymore and he has been not loving his belly which leads to screaming because he gets stuck, especially at nap (FUN!). The kid has quite a bit of weight he has to throw over in order to move. I am proud of him. He is growing up to dang fast!

Belated Post of Trip to VA

Matt, Wyatt, and I decided to drive down to Virginia for not even a 24 hour trip. Well Wyatt didn't have much to say about the final decision:). It worked out great because my school released almost a week earlier than where I taught in Virginia. I was so blessed to have seen those who became so close to me during my time in VA. I missed everything about Salem, the school, the comfort, and especially, more than anything the people. God surely blessed Matt and I's time down south and Christiansburg/Salem will always remain special to Matt and I.

Hehe, love the kid!

Wedding!

Bear is married! We had such a fun weekend celebrating in Mississippi Barry's new wife. We adore Eva and had a great time getting to know their family and friends. Wyatt got to meet his Uncle Bear and Aunt Eva and loved them the moment he met them. Wyatt didn't go to bed before midnight everynight, PARTY ANIMAL! He was such a good little boy. Love him:)!

Old Friends

April was a fun month to reconnect with friends so dear to us. People who have been in our lives since before middle school. It is amazing how blessed we are to have kept in contact and remained close although we now live apart. These friends are truly one in a million! We have a list of "must-meets" for Wyatt to get through before age 1 and I don't doubt we will see these special people, even if we go broke and crazy doing it!:)
